Steel Wool “0” Fine

Steel wool is a very versatile material that can be used for cleaning and polishing metals, wood and plastic. Steel wool is made by shaving threads of steel from a thick soft steel wire.

Apart from cleaning, steel wool also has other uses such as keeping mice and rats away. Rats and mice will become very ill after eating coarse steel wool. Also steel wool can easily catch flame from a spark or 9v battery even when wet and is very useful in emergency situations.

Our steel wool comes in 5.5cm diameter rolls which are 10.5cm wide, and in 4 different graduations in coarseness

• #0 with a thickness of 0.05mm is used for cleaning all surfaces which do not need a mirror finish such as aluminium and Stainless steel. #0 is great for cleaning Stainless steel revolvers.
